The Full Spectrum laser is the more powerful of MSL’s two laser cutters. It’s a 90 watt laser that can cut though up to 1/2” material. It also has a large cutting area that allows for cuts up to nearly 24”x36”.
The laser cutter works with any number of vector design programs including Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape (both of which are available on MSL computers), and many others. You can etch designs or use the machine to cut though the material and make separate pieces. Most wood products are safe to use on the laser cutter as well as many plastics, leather, fabrics and more. But for a more complete list you’ll want to check in in person.
