The MSL miter saw (or chop saw) is a 12” compound sliding miter saw capable of cutting up to 12” in width and an angle of up to 60°. It is used for making crosscuts and angled miter cuts with a large circular saw blade. The chop saw is one of the most useful pieces of equipment in any woodshop. Having one permanently set up and ready for use can make most projects move along much more efficiently. Having extra space for long items is always a must as well. Our saw is set up with at least 4’ of table on either side, plus plenty of space for extra length to hang off the side, making it no problem to cut 8’ and 10’ boards to length.
